VETS² Scholarship Program

Your Path to a Security Career, Fully Funded

VETS² invests in veterans who are ready to invest in themselves. Start with a quick inquiry and we'll walk you through the rest.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility

  • Current members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including Reserve and National Guard.
  • Veterans who were discharged under honorable conditions.
  • Applicants must also meet Illinois requirements for the FOID and PERC cards that the program pays to process.

Other characters of service, including General (Under Honorable Conditions), are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If that's you, please still reach out.

We verify service for every applicant. Please do not email a DD-214, Social Security number, or any ID in your first message — we'll tell you exactly how to send proof securely.

What the Scholarship Covers

VETS² pays the direct costs of becoming a licensed armed security guard in Chicago: FOID and PERC application processing, the 20-hour and 28-hour IDFPR courses, OC spray, Axon TASER and ASP certifications, 3 months of BJJ, Stop the Bleed, First Aid/CPR/AED, a professional resume, and interview mentorship.
